About us

Taking Gauteng's forms of art to new frontiers.

Gauteng has long needed an umbrella to be placed over a combination of all the various art forms, combined with an international flair. The City of Tshwane is the ideal metropole to host such a festival, bearing in mind the various embassies, from all over the world extant within the city boundaries. The Gaufestival endeavour to connect all and sundry in the Arts. 2016 marked the pilot year of this initiative in Tshwane, creating not only awareness of the Arts in our community, but most importantly, creating a platform for all developing and existing artists. With Arts Festivals to pick and choose from in other parts of the country, the time has come for Gauteng to make its own valuable contribution in this field. The ultimate goal is to be able to feature GauFestival productions across the entire Gauteng. The City of Tshwane has given its blessing to this initiative with a promise of widespread media coverage of the event. Let us join hands for the official year of this new venture and support this exciting, fun project for the whole Gauteng community.
